Building empowered communities through technology
We put digital tools and skills directly in the hands of underserved communities, so women, youth and children can solve their own challenges in health, education, water, sanitation and livelihoods.
Technology is a right, not a privilege.
Hriscare International Foundation is a nonprofit building empowered, resilient and self-reliant communities through digital technology. We work where innovation meets social development, so communities have the tools, skills and opportunities to improve their own quality of life, with inclusion, gender equity and community ownership at the centre.
Life had simply thrown them into a corner because they lacked the basic tools to escape poverty. I founded Hriscare to create a level playing field.
Our Vision
A world where digitally empowered communities use technology to build safe, inclusive and sustainable environments that enhance quality of life for all.
Our Mission
To build resilient, self-reliant communities by putting digital tools directly in their hands, equipping underserved African populations to solve their most pressing challenges in health, water, sanitation, education and livelihoods.
From a family compound to a movement.
Hriscare didn't start in a boardroom. It started at home in Jos, with a family that believed in care, and a daughter who refused to accept that opportunity should depend on where you're born.

35 years of care
Dr. and Mrs. Ruth Hris ran a healthcare centre in Kabong, Gada Biyu, offering subsidised and free treatment to people who couldn't afford it. Service to others was the family way of life.

Coming home to Kabong
After graduating from Madonna University, Tabitha came home to find peers caught in addiction, early motherhood and exclusion. Not because they lacked ambition, but because they lacked opportunity.

A classroom in the compound
She started small, teaching local children life values, the importance of education and the power of digital literacy, right in the Hris family compound.

Building tech communities
Seeing technology as the fastest, most scalable way out of poverty, Tabitha set up digital and Microsoft communities, and the work spread across Northern Nigeria.
